Vaduvoor Kothandaramar perumal.

I took a short holiday to visit a few temples along with my husband. We first went to Mannargudi to enjoy the Vennaithazhi utsavam of Sri Rajagopala Perumal, my husband's God love.

We then went to Vaduvoor, just 13 KMs from Mannargudi to worship Kothandaramar perumal, one of the most beautiful idols (see picture) that I have ever seen.

We then went to Thillaivilagam, a remote village near Muthupet, about 46 KMs from Mannargudi. The presiding deity there is Veera Kothandaramar, an idol of stunning beauty and majestic size that was found in 1862 while digging for a new tank.

Finally, we had a memorable dharshan of Lod Sriranganathar perumal in Srirangam known also as bhoologa vaikundam.
